Being on a specific diet or dieting can be confusing. Some people “diet” to lose weight or train for a specific sporting event, but what’s important is maintaining a healthy diet from day to day.
There’s a saying that’s good to remember, especially as we age: “Eat when you are hungry, drink when you are thirsty and rest when you are tired.” However, it can sometimes be hard to follow this advice! As we age, our bodies require more tender loving care and careful handling, especially when it comes to the skin. Elderly individuals may have very thin skin and less underlying fat—so damage to the skin can occur quite easily.
